I really enjoyed [Michael Carmichael’s] article about Cheney's 'Arab Gambit' - I will definitely send it to all of my 'people'. I think your site, and the very well thought out pieces from your contributors is a breath of fresh air - perhaps I'm just more willing to like anyone from North Carolina, since my dad was from Kannapolis. He was a very educated (self-taught, mostly) and curious person who taught our family to look beyond the sound bites and headlines to find the "Truth" - no matter how difficult or inconvenient those truths may be. I will always be grateful to him for that, and I see that Carolina seems to grow insightful people still - keep up the good work!! Thanks.

Page 27 of the NY Times Magazine, November 19, 2006 references a report in Private Banker International in an ad directed to dynastic families. I assume by its placement that some of these dynastic families reside in the U.S. With as little as $10M to invest this is probably the low end of the group. All the same, why hasn't the NY Times reported on this group, who they are, and whether it is true that all of the support to end the death tax comes from these families? Which Democrats will now be carrying their water?
